In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 4 July 2025 at 4:00 PM, a report stated that a woman was shot dead near Pyu Kan Village, Mahlaing Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel conducted for further investigation, they discovered the victim was identified as Daw Htay Htay (60 years old) a 100-household elder and resident of Ma Gyi Pin Pu Village in Mahaling Township. The incident occurred while the victim was on her way to Mandalay City for medical treatment at a clinic. When she reached the roadside near Pyu Kan Village, a so-called PDF terrorist group arrived and opened fire on her. As a result, she died on the spot, it is reported.
Security forces are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
