Terrorists committing inhuman acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 26 April 2025 at 1:35 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Daw Tin Nu Yi (55 years old), a resident of Ma Gyi Pin Thal Village in Taungtha Township. The incident occurred when a terrorist faction fired heavy weapons into the victim’s village. The shells exploded within the village, resulting in her injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 6:00 PM, a report stated that a monk with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victim was identified as Venerable Dama Sara (51 years old), (14 years in monkhood), from the Kan Baw Za Monastery in Shan Village, Madaya Township. The incident occurred when a terrorist faction fired heavy weapons into the village. The shells exploded within the village, resulting in the monk’s injuries, it is reported.
Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets into towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, monk and civilian casualties have been reported. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
