Administrative Officials and Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 26 January 2025 at 11:15 AM, a report stated that a man was shot dead and another was injured by gunfire in Aung Thar Yar Ward, Chanmyatharzi Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Win Oo (53 years old), a 100-household elder and U Thu Rein Win (aka) Pyi Gyi (35 years old), both residents of the ward. The incident occurred that while the victims were at a local betel nut shop, known as the “Bo” betel shop, located at the corner of 45th Street and 107th Street in Aung Thar Yar Ward, two so-called PDF terrorists arriving motorcycle and opened fire on them before fleeing. As a result, the victims sustained gunshot injuries and were transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical treatment. However, U Win Oo succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 7:20 PM, a report stated that a man was injured by gunfire on the Village Commutable Road between Yin Nyein (North) Village and Mya Lay Chaung Village in Paung Township of Mon State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Naing Lin (aka) Chat Ywun (30 years old), a resident of Yin Nyein (North) Village. The incident occurred that the victim was travelling on his motorcycle to Mya Lay Chaung Village. Upon reaching the Village Commutable Road, two so-called PDF terrorists, who were following him on another motorcycle, opened fire on him before fleeing. As a result, the victim sustained gunshot injuries, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative official and innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
