Administrative Officials and Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 20 December 2024 at 8:00 AM, a report stated that a man with gunshot injuries had been admitted to Ye Township Public Hospital of Mon State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Nyo (53 years old), a resident of Wu Ka Taw Village in Ye Township. The investigation revealed that while the victim was at the Kyaik Kwan Pyin Monastery in the village, two individuals from KNU group and the so-called PDF terrorist group, arriving by motorcycle and opened fire on him, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
     Similarly, at 9:20 AM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Wat Chote Village, Natmauk Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was Village Administrator U Htay Win (50 years old), a resident of the village. The investigation revealed that the victim was on his way to a farm west of the village. Upon reaching a location one furlong west of the village, a terrorist group opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
     Likewise, at 4:40 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Tin Tate Ward, Sagaing Township of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victim was U Myo Min Thu (33 years old), a resident of the ward. The investigation revealed that the victim was at the “Beer Star-5” restaurant in the ward, two so-called PDF terrorists, arriving by motorcycle and opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
     Security  personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of administrative official and innocent civilians in the aforementioned cases, it is reported.
