In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 25 April 2025 at 11:30 AM, U Khine Win (35 years old) and Daw Win Win Nwet (35 years old), both residents of Tha Yet Kan Village in Ngazun Township of Mandalay Region, were at their house when approximately 20 so-called PDF terrorists arriving by a car and five motorcycle, abducted them. The terrorists then took them to an area near a bridge one mile west of the village, where they killed U Khine Win. Security personnel are continuing efforts to rescue Daw Win Win Nwet, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for killing the innocent civilian in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
