Child and Innocent Civilian Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by Terrorist Faction in Kawkareik Township of Kayin State 

    Terrorists committing inhuman acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.
    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 30 April 2025 at 8:35 PM, a report stated that a woman and a child with shrapnel injuries were admitted to Hpa-an Township Public Hospital in Kayin State. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the injured victims were identified as Ma Win Win Myint (24 years old) and Ma Thoon Yati Lin (seven months old), both residents of No.3 Ward in Kyon Doe Town, Kawkareik Township. In the incident, a terrorist faction fired heavy weapons into the victims’ ward, causing injuries to the above-metioned civilians, it is reported.
    Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets into towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, civilian casualties have been reported. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
