Civil Servant Recklessly Shot Dead by So-called PDF Terrorists

In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are civil servants who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 21 December 2024 at 7:10 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead in Chine Village, Yaenanchaung Township of Magway Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was identified the victim as U Thet Nyo Naing (33 years old), a Junior Assistant Teacher at the Sub-Basic Education High School in the village and resident of the village. The investigation revealed that while the victim was at his house, 10 so-called PDF terrorists arrived and abducted him. They later took him to the village’s main road, where he was shot. As a result, the victim died on the spot, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killing and assassination of a civil servant in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
