Four Innocent Civilians, Including Two Children, Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by Terrorist Faction in Matupi Township of Chin State 

    Terrorists have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.
    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 21 April 2025 at 8:20 AM, a report stated that two men and two women with shrapnel injuries were admitted to the North Okkalapa Township Public Hospital of Yangon Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, the victims were identified as U Lyan Htan (60 years old), Daw Shwe Li (38 years old), Ma Em Ma Li (12 years old) and Sai Lyan (five years old), all residents of Laung Van Ward in Matupi Town, Matupi Township of Chin State. The incident occurred when a terrorist faction fired heavy weapons into the victims’ ward. The shells exploded within the ward, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
    Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians including children have been injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
