Innocent Civilian Killed After Stepping on Explosive Device Planted by So-Called PDF Terrorist Faction in Letpadan Township of Bago Region

     In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
     Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 1 May 2025 at 1:20 PM, U Maung San (45 years old) and U Khin Soe (42 years old), both residents of Shwebo Su Village in Letpadan Township of Bago Region, were walking to Htan Pin Chaung Village to pick Marian plums. When they arrived at a yard located two miles south of Shwebo Su Village, U Maung San stepped on an explosive device, reportedly planted by a so-called PDF terrorist faction. The device detonated and U Maung San died on the spot from the blast. Fortunately, U Khin Soe was not injured, it is reported.
     It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
