Innocent Civilians Injured in Improvised Rocket Attack into Ward by Terrorists

     Insurgents committing terrorist activities have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the public towns, wards and villages.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 13 January 2025 at 10:15 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired improvised rockets into No.2 Ward in Myaing Township of Magway Region. The explosions caused within the compound of the Thiri Min Galar Monastery in the ward. As a result, U Kyaw Thein (73 years old) and Ma Lwun Than Zin Cho  (nine years old), both residents of No. 1 Ward, sustained shrapnel injuries while at the scene. They were transported to Myaing Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
     Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians are injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
