Innocent Civilians Recklessly Assassinated by So-called PDF Terrorists

     In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies, informants or decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 27 December 2024 at 7:00 AM, a report stated that two men were shot dead at the “Aung Thike Oo” Construction  Materials Store near Khya-O Kyun Village in Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the scene for further investigation, it was discovered that the victims were U Zay Yar Tun (aka) Aung Thike Oo (40 years old), the store owner and his father-in-law, U Nay Lin (60 years old). The investigation revealed that while the victims were at the store, two so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on them. As a result, both men died on the spot. Additionally, the terrorists took MMK 50 lakhs and a pair of gold earrings from the store before fleeing, it is reported.
     Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the killings and assassinations of innocent civilians in the aforementioned case, it is reported.
