KIA Insurgents and So-Called PDF Terrorists Launch Heavy Weapon Attack on Myitkyina Airport in Myitkyina Township of Kachin State

    Terrorists committing inhumane acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.
    Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 30 April 2025 at 12:30 PM, KIA insurgents, along with so-called PDF terrorists, fired heavy weapons at a location approximately 235 meters east of the old aircraft hanger at Myinkyina Airport in Myitkyina Township, Kachin State. The shells exploded at the area, but there were no casualties or damage to buildings, it is reported.
    Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets into towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
