So-Called PDF Terrorist Faction Abducts Monk in Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region

     On 20 April 2025, a so-called PDF terrorist faction abducted a monk in Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region, it is reported.
     The incident occurred on 20 April 2025 at 7:25 AM, when six so-called PDF terrorists arriving by four motorcycles at the Taung Kone Monastery in No. 3 Ward, Ngathayauk Town, Nyaung-U Township, coming from the direction of Maung Gwot Taw Village. They forcibly abducted the monastery’s abbot, Venerable Seindika (60 years old with 41 years in monkhood), son of U Tun Kyi, claiming they “needed to questioning him”, it is reported.
    Security personnel are continuing necessary operations in accordance with standard security protocols to apprehend the terrorists responsible for the abduction.
