So-Called PDF Terrorist Group Attacks Village with Heavy and Small Arms, Burns Houses in Pakokku Township of Magway Region

     Terrorists committing inhumane acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.
      Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 10 June 2025 at 6:30 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group launched a coordinated attack on Ah Nout Ma Gyi Kan Village in Pakokku Township of Magway Region. The terrorists simultaneously opened fire with small arms and launched 40 mm grenades from the northern, southern and western sides of the village. In response, members of the people’s militia in the village returned fire in defense. Following the confrontation, the terrorists retreated after setting fire to four houses and took a LIGHT TRUCK and a motorcycle from the village. During the exchange of fire, two individuals sustained gunshot wounds: U Aye Lwin (41 years old), a member of the Public Security and Counter-Terrorism Team and Daw Si Si Htay (43 years old), a local villager. Both injured individuals were evacuated to the No. (2) Company of No. (7) Military Field Medical Battalion in Pakokku Town to receive urgent medical treatment, it is reported.
       Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent civilians have been injured or killed. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
