In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 22 January 2025 at 3:30 PM, a report stated that a woman with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Pyin Oo Lwin Township Public Hospital of Mandalay Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that Daw Ohn Yi (70 years old) and her niece, Daw Khin Swe (33 years old), both residents of Gan Kaw Village in Nyaungcho Township of Northern Shan State, were heading to their upland field south of their village. Upon reaching the area near the upland field, they triggered an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist faction, causing it to explode. As a result, Daw Khin Swe died on the spot, while Daw Ohn Yi sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 6:00 PM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to the Watlat Township Public Hospital of Sagaing Region. When security personnel promptly arrived at the hospital for further investigation, it was discovered that U Zaw Min Naing (43 years old), a resident of Shwe Kyin Village in Wetlat Township, was heading to Thal Poat Kone Village. Upon reaching the area near Myin Taw Village, an explosive device planted by a so-called PDF terrorist faction detonated, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
