Village Administrator Shot Dead and Innocent Civilian Injured by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Kamma Township of Magway Region

In some townships across States and Regions, terrorists motivated by a radical ideology that views “anyone with differing views is an enemy” are conducting violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets are administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not support their terrorist acts. Using firearms and knives, these terrorists are committing brutal assassinations after accusing them of “spies”, “informants”, or “decoys”. This strategy is intended to instill fear among peaceable civilians and create a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.
Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 2 June 2025 at 6:30 PM, a report stated that a man was shot dead and another was injured in Pha Yone Hla Village near Kamma Township. When security personnel arrived at the scene for further investigation, they discovered that Village Administrator U Soe Win (59 years old), and Mg Nay Myo Aung (18 years old), both residents of the village, were farming in a field near the Kamma-Pya Gyi Road, approximately two miles southeast of the village, when three so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on them. As a result, U Soe Win died on the spot. Additionally, U Kyaw Zin Oo (30 years old), who was herding cows near the incident, sustained gunshot wounds. Fortunately, Mg Nay Myo Aung was unharmed. The deceased and injured individual were transported to Khyo Pin Station Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
Security personnel are persistently taking necessary measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the aforementioned case, it is reported.
